How can I move the Windows XP Folders containing the "Live Mail" email files to another location than C:\Document and Setings\....?
I just migrated on my Windows XP PC from "Outlook Express" to "Live Mail" and the migration went really very well - the conversion progress migrated without any human intervention my thousands and thousands of emails, my many OE Email folders, my Address-Book.I have however a problem and did not find up-to-now a solution for it. With Outlook Express the Windows XP Folders containing my emails were located on another Disk Partition than the C Partition. It is important for me, to have all "application data" (e.g. all emails) stored in another Disk partition than the C partition.Because if having troubles with a newly installed Software (e.g. a Software Beta Version), I can use a backup of my C Partition and restore it without losing any application data (e.g. without losing any new emails).Question 1: With"Live Mail", can I store my emails in another Windows XP folder than the standard C:\Document and Settings\...... folder? If yes: how can I do that?Question 2: Is it thewhole "C:\Document and Settings\user-name\local settings\application data\Microsoft\Windows Live Mail" Folder that I can move to another location?Where can I find information on thesesubjects? Thanks a lot for an answer.1 person got this answerI do too
